I was in Ilocos last December for an out of town fieldwork but stayed most of the time in Laoag.
Was so elated when my senior told me I CAN visit the branch office in Vigan if I think I have to. As a good auditor embodying integrity with well grounded principles, I was very willing to go the extra mile (err. Literally?) to ensure the success of our audit project. Thus, I deemed necessary to visit the branch. Chos.
I didn’t have enough time when I visited the branch office so I decided to comeback the day after. It was Saturday, anyway!!
With my defective sense of distance and time, I took the bus and left Laoag City around 2pm expecting/hoping to catch the Golden Hour in Calle Crisologo which I almost missed.
There! The best image my camera phone can take haha
So here are the photos I took while walking the whole stretch of Calle Crisologo
Even Max’s was in sync with the vintage theme.
And it is even lovelier at night (or any time of the day!)
Wala akong ka holding hands pero kinikilig ako!!!
Had dinner at Cafe Leonora (but i didn’t have decent photos and I don’t have the right to write about it since I didn’t order their best meal cuz it’s effin expensive!!!!!) before I roamed around the sentro.
I felt like I was in a Jose Rizal movie and here’s the bellfry of the famous church in Vigan post cards which I wasn’t able to take a photo of cuz my phone battery died and I only have my prime lens with me! tsk tsk
And that’s how my 3-hour Vigan visit went!!! The locals are so accommodating and I even met some ilonggos in the gift shop! Thanks for the discount!!!! I will comeback here to explore the city some more and try their pottery thing!!!
