…and few fun people to spend a hippie weekend with!!!!
The initial plan was to go to La Union but due to the Soul Surf event and the availability of accommodations, we ended up booking the Zambales branch of The Circle Hostel!!!
Here’s what welcomed us after some long drive and stop over for groceries and lunch at Subic!!
The long wait was over, at around 4pm, the local surfing instructors from the hostel called us for the real thing!!!
And as expected, my unexplained disgust of getting wet and trust issues (with myself?) that I can keep myself alive superseded my desire to try new things!
So here’s the ala-baywatch photo of the group! (tulog ka nanaman, rigel)
and feeling pro during the dry run
Sorry, Char, I didn’t get to take a decent photo of you :(I was distracted by the photogenic scenery of San Felipe:
my, now, second favorite sunset next to Guimaras’!
Since it’s kinda late, we freshen up and had our budget dinner at the all-day-breakfast carinderia right across the hotel!
While the night was young, we had drinks with the other guests of the hostel at the common area! It’s actually a cute experience to get to know other people even just their first names 🙂
we excused ourselves for some stargazing at the beach side and it was one of the best star gazing nights of my life!
it would have been prettier if I had a tripod with meeee! tsk tsk
Since I had an awesome sunset, i didn’t expect to have an equally amazing sunrise.
I woke up at around 5:30 and Sam tagged along
And there! it’s not that bad, right?
That day after our brunch, we had the common area to ourselves!!!
A little before 12noon, we left the hostel and drove our way back to Manila! Good night, Rigel!!!
Weekend well-spent, indeeeed!!!!! This is just the first of many weekend trips with the new people in my life, a.k.a. ALI-VisMin officemates!!!
